Massage Services Available

The Reliant Medical Group Department of Rehabilitation and Sports Medicine offers a variety of therapeutic services to meet individual needs.

Swedish massage
Moderate pressure is applied to soften tired, aching muscles.

Deep-tissue massage
Deep pressure is applied to break up adhesions. This massage is used for pain syndromes such as sciatica and rotator cuff injuries.

Myofacial massage*
Passive pressure is applied to soften connective tissue. This balances the muscles of the body and internal structures.

Sports massage
Deep strokes and trigger-point massage are helpful before athletic events to increase flexibility, blood flow and muscle balance. After events, massage relieves pain and prevents stiffness.
