Phase II of the COPD Gene study aims to improve the diagnosis and treatment of lung disease for millions of people affected by chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), and is being conducted by several groups of doctors and scientists throughout the U.S.

  • Participants will provide valuable information about the processes involved in normal lung aging, compared to those affected by smoking
  • Male and Female Non-Smokers* (*less than 100 cigarettes in a life time) between the ages of 45 and 85 years old who are belong to either of the two genetic groups being studied (Non-Hispanic White or African-American) may qualify for this single –visit study.
